As a nonprofit organization, HudsonAlpha greatly appreciates those who donate their time and talents. Our “Partners of Progress” volunteer in various areas, driving HudsonAlpha’s mission forward.

Most volunteer opportunities happen outside the lab, where they contribute significantly to fundraising events, such as the Spring Benefit, Double Helix Dash and Tie the Ribbons luncheon. Volunteers are also a big part of the Biotech 101 and 201 lifelong learning series.

In addition, these Partners of Progress are also a tremendous resource for educator-focused workshops, including Genetic Resources to Empower Alabama Teachers (GREAT) and Genetic Technologies for Alabama Classrooms (GTAC).

Volunteers at HudsonAlpha come from all backgrounds and age groups, tied together by their desire to make a difference. They may not be scientists by training, but by sharing their time and talents, they can help advance our scientific mission.

If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the Foundation staff at 256-327-9446 or foundation@hudsonalpha.org.
