When the doors opened ten years ago this April, everyone knew it would take time to establish the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology as a world leader in genomics, to make important scientific discoveries, to change the way science education is delivered to students and to grow Alabama’s life science community.
In just ten years, HudsonAlpha has made an incredible impact. HudsonAlpha has published more than 550 research papers highlighting research discoveries, opened the first stand-alone genomic medicine clinic, the education team has impacted the lives of 3 million learners worldwide and the economic impact of HudsonAlpha in Alabama has exceeded $1.8 billion dollars.
