Experimental and computational biologist presents at special research seminar

Dr. Xu Wang presented a talk on “Vertebrate genomics and epigenomics” in a special research seminar yesterday in the HudsonAlpha auditorium.

Xu Wang, PhD, is an experimental and computational biologist whose research leverages genomic technology to study the biology and evolution of epigenetic mechansisms during vertebrate development. As a graduate student and postdoctoral fellow with the research group of Andy Clark, he used genome-wide transcriptome and methylome analysis to study genomic imprinting in several different metazoan systems. In his seminar, Wang presented both his recent work and future plans as a independent investigator. Read more at www.xuwang.us.

Greg Barsh, PhD, hosted Monday’s seminar.
