Research seminar features bioenergy grasses

David Braun, PhD, of the University of Missouri-Columbia (MU) gave a presentation on sugar transporters controlling sucrose accumulation in bioenergy grasses for the HudsonAlpha Research Seminar on Wednesday, February 15.

Braun is an associate professor of biological sciences at the University of Missouri-Columbia (MU). He is also the director of the Missouri Maize Center. Prior to joining MU, he was an associate and assistant professor at Pennsylvania State University. He did his postdoctoral research at the University of California-Berkeley, his graduate training at MU and his undergraduate studies at the University of California-San Diego.
