Huntsville, Ala. – It’s about time to put on your favorite walking shoes and meet Mayor Tommy Battle on Tuesday, September 1, 12 p.m., at HudsonAlpha’s McMillian Park for a kick-off walk in the Healthy Huntsville Mayor’s 100-Mile Walking Challenge.
The public is invited to join the Mayor, his department heads, the Healthy Huntsville team and HudsonAlpha employees on a two-mile walk around the Park’s double helix. The walk is the first in a series of public walks to encourage citizens to trek at least 100 miles between Sept. 1 and Nov. 30. All of the Healthy Huntsville events are free to the public and are posted on the Our Valley Events Healthy Huntsville calendar.
