By creating a unique physical space that breaks down the physical distance between science and entrepreneurship, the Institute increases the likelihood of this transfer. The mission of HudsonAlpha is four-fold:
- To develop, maintain and apply cutting-edge genomic technology across a wide spectrum of biology and biomedical research.
- To prepare the future biotechnology workforce and cultivate genetic literacy for all citizens.
- To bridge the gulf between ideas and discoveries generated in laboratories and their movement into the marketplace where they can benefit patients and society at large.
- To advance the practice of genomic medicine to benefit patients with undiagnosed disease today, and in the future, to practice personalized, predictive medicine.
