Kim Strong talks Information is Power in Redstone Rocket pink edition

Knowledge is power – and the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology wants to arm people with that power.

Beginning Oct. 29, women who are Madison County residents and are 30-years-old – born between Oct. 30, 1984 and Oct. 28, 1986 – may receive free genetic testing for the genes that increase one’s risk for both breast and ovarian cancers, thanks to HudsonAlpha and Kailos Genetics. The “Information is Power” initiative will run through Oct. 28, 2016. The first test kits will be available at HudsonAlpha’s breast and ovarian cancer fundraiser, “Tie the Ribbons” at the Von Braun Center Oct. 29. Beginning Oct. 30 test kits may be acquired through the Kailos Genetics website, kailosgenetics.com.
