HudsonAlpha to host National Security Innovation Summit

More than 30 Department of Defense technology scouts will gather at the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology July 18-20 to hear the latest innovations from emerging small business owners during the National Security Innovation Summit (NSIS).

NSIS gives individuals at the forefront of technologies the opportunity to showcase their ideas and pitch to federal stakeholders in the field. More than 75 small business owners are looking forward to sharing their ideas with defense strategy leaders.

Representatives from Alabama universities, North Alabama International Trade Association (NAITA), NASA and others will share insights with attendees on how to bring their ideas to market and grow their businesses.

“This year we’re doing it in Huntsville because of the amount of growth that the city has experienced, the amount of human capital, how many smart people we have in Huntsville, the amount of cool things that we’re working on,” said NSIS board member Nate Hoffman in an interview with WHNT.
