HudsonAlpha receives Innovation Award at international research park conference

Huntsville, Ala. – The HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology was honored for its innovation at the Association of University Research Parks (AURP) International Conference on October 25, 2018. Amy Sturdivant, director of business recruitment at HudsonAlpha, accepted the Innovation Award on the Institute’s behalf at the AURP Awards of Excellence Luncheon in Maryland.

“We are fortunate to be located in the heart of innovation in Cummings Research Park and bring some of the world’s top researchers, educators and entrepreneurs together on one collaborative campus,” said Sturdivant. This is an honor for not only HudsonAlpha, but for the city of Huntsville and Cummings Research Park.”

The Innovation Award recognizes a company or institute in a research park that has produced a substantial and meaningful innovation produce or service.

AURP also announced the 2018 newly elected board members, including Erin Koshut, director of Cummings Research Park.
