Fall Biotech 101 kicks off

The fall session of Biotech 101 sponsored by ServisFirst Bank began last week. Over 200 people started on a journey of understanding their genetic makeup and how biotechnology impacts every living thing. You can read the article from the front page of Sunday’s Huntsville Times on the "wildly popular" Biotech 101 series. You can also learn more about the myriad of innovative educational programs. 

Innovation/Application: EGEN

September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. Among U.S. women, ovarian cancer is the fifth leading cause of cancer-related deaths. Unfortunately, ovarian cancer is often detected when the cancer is already at an advanced stage. EGEN, a resident associate company at HudsonAlpha, is making great strides in developing a treatment for recurrent ovarian cancer.
