The Economic Development Partnership of Alabama (EDPA) handed out its Innovation Awards Tuesday as its Launchpad startup competition celebrates a decade of turning ideas into businesses.
More than 500 attended the celebration of innovation in the state at the Alabama Innovation and Entrepreneurship Conference luncheon at the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex.
HudsonAlpha and iCubate took home the prize for Outstanding Public-Private Partnership. HudsonAlpha Vice President for Marketing and Communications accepted the award on behalf of HudsonAlpha, and Vice President for Economic Development Carter Wells accepted the award on behalf iCubate. In addition, HudsonAlpha associate company CFD Research Corporation won Corporate Innovator of the Year, large company. See the full list of winners and read the story here.
