HudsonAlpha Alumni Association

The HudsonAlpha Alumni Association was established as a way for individuals to delve deeper into genomics and its rapid developments. Public education is an essential component of the HudsonAlpha’s mission to accelerate discoveries from the laboratories into real-world benefits. It is our goal to do everything we can to create a genomically-literate society and workforce because the future of medicine, agriculture and public health is being revolutionized by the things learned from in-depth studies of DNA. We hope that you have been able to apply the lessons learned in the Biotech 101 and 201 series to your life and that the knowledge gained has helped you make more informed decisions about your health and the world around you.

Membership Benefits

Members of HudsonAlpha Alumni Association enjoy new, exclusive educational programming opportunities beyond Biotech 101 and 201 and reap the benefits of a stronger relationship with the Institute. The field of biotechnology, particularly as it relates to genomics and DNA-based discoveries, is growing exponentially. We are currently on the threshold of a world where biotechnology influences daily decisions about foods we eat, energy we use, the ways we monitor the world and the choices we make about health and well-being.

To responsibly evaluate these choices, we need a society that is well-educated about DNA, the role of genetics in disease and the impact of biotechnology on agriculture, medicine and the environment. It is imperative, then, that HudsonAlpha continues to offer public education classes. Your support through the Alumni Association will enable us to continue to provide public education classes, free of charge, so that others may learn about the promise of genomics and what it means to individuals and society as a whole.
