How a brewer and biotech company worked together to make a new Huntsville beer

Most of the places Eric Tollison goes to clear his head have gravel roads that lead to them. Going camping. Hiking. And that’s why he decided to name the first beer he created for Below the Radar as the Huntsville brewpub’s new head brewer, Gravel Road Cream Ale.

“I grew up off the beaten path a little bit out in the country and that’s where I go back to now when I just need to get away,” Tollison, a Pell City native now residing in Scottsboro says. “You can go to some very relaxing places on paved roads but to me gravel roads leads to a place that’s a lot better.”
