HudsonAlpha, Auburn seeking applications for Assistant/Associate Professor of Plant Genomics

The Department of Crop, Soil, and Environmental Sciences in the College of Agriculture at Auburn University, in cooperation with the HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology, is seeking applications for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor – Plant Genomics.

This faculty position will be a nine-month, tenure-track position with a 20% teaching and 80% research appointment at Auburn University and a faculty investigator with HudsonAlpha. The individual in this position will be a member of the faculty in the Department of Crop, Soil and Environmental Sciences in the College of Agriculture at Auburn, however, the position location will be in Huntsville, Ala. at HudsonAlpha.

The successful candidate will develop a nationally recognized program that will advance current understanding and application of genomics to crop genetics and breeding for improved plants (agronomic, horticultural) grown in Alabama. They will provide a crucial interface between the HudsonAlpha’s plant genomics and Auburn’s plant breeding/genetics programs to enable cross-collaboration and improved scientific output of both institutions.
