Yes, you may attend sessions. However, only teachers who complete the full schedule of both days’ sessions will be eligible for the take home materials.

Yes, you will be able to register for the GREAT Workshop on Chalkable. Registrants will receive that information in the emailed pre-workshop packet sent to the personal email address on your registration.

The following 2015 Alabama Course of Study and AP Science Standards will be addressed for the GREAT Workshop: Genomics in the Fields:

Biology COS Standards 11 and 14

Special emphasis on Data Analysis, Identifying Patterns and Arguing From Evidence.

AP Biology Big Idea 2 and 3

LO 3, 4, Science Practices 3 and 5, Essential Knowledge 3.A.4

Yes – as a life science educator, you are eligible to attend. However, the content at the current round of GREAT focuses heavily on agriscience to address the Biology standards and likely will not be applicable to an A&P classroom.

No- while we will provide substitute reimbursement costs of up to $70/day to eligible educators, HudsonAlpha will not provide any funding for expenses associated with travel.

Yes, GREAT Workshop participants will receive lunch and snacks throughout the workshop. We hope to keep your stomach happy and your brain engaged!

Yes, we can accommodate a variety of special dietary needs. Please be sure to include that information in your registration, being as specific as possible.

Of course you can! Participants will receive a detailed schedule of the day upon check in. General schedules are included in pre-workshop packets emailed to registrants approximately two weeks prior to the workshop.
