Carter Wells to discuss life sciences economic development at Alabama Economic Growth Summit

Carter Wells, HudsonAlpha vice president for economic development, will join a panel of the state’s top leaders in government, business and academia at the Alabama Economic Growth Summit Feb. 18th and 19th in Hoover, Ala.

This two-day event will celebrate the state’s recent economic development successes and spur the state toward being the country’s most attractive state for business.

The summit will begin Thursday at 7 p.m. with live music by the Alabama band, “Act of Congress.” Day two will include a breakfast hosted by Gov. Robert Bentley and a day of panel discussions. Wells will join the “Planning for the Future: Industries Poised for Economic Growth in Alabama” panel.

“Through organizations like HudsonAlpha and others in the state, Alabama continues to show strong growth in the life sciences field,” said Wells, “and I am looking forward to sharing that with the panel.”
