R-KIDs 5K to benefit childhood genetic disorders research at HudsonAlpha

When David Gunther of Madison spent last summer working as an intern at resident associate company Conversant Bio, he became very interested in the broad range of research projects underway at HudsonAlpha. The research into childhood genetic disorders inspired him.

"I decided to start a race to support this project," said Gunther. "I believe that HudsonAlpha's project will change the world and improve the lives of countless people."

The race Gunther organized is called the Run to Kure Infant Disorders, or R-KIDs, 5K. The first of what he hopes to be an annual event will be held Saturday, November 23, at 8 a.m. at the Madison City Schools Stadium on Hughes Road. In addition to the certified 5K, there will be a 1-mile fun run.

The early bird fee of $20 is good through November 10. After that, the race fee is $25. It will cost $30 to register the day of the run. Click here to register and check out the course map
