The HudsonAlpha Connections group hosted its first fund- and friend-raising event on the institute's behalf last month. Nearly 100 area young professionals attended Get Your Science On. Connections is a volunteer group committed to raising awareness and support for HudsonAlpha's mission. Read more.

Kelly Williams is an Iowa State University graduate who has called Huntsville — and HudsonAlpha — home for nearly two years. The postdoctoral fellow has a unique research project in Rick Myers' lab, studying pyridostigmine bromide, a drug used during the Gulf War. Read more.
Serina Therapeutics, Inc. moved into HudsonAlpha in January 2008, becoming one of the first associate companies to reside at the institute. Nearly three years later, Serina has developed its new generation of polymer technology for drug delivery. This new "POZ" platform is expected to revolutionize treatments for various diseases, beginning — but not ending — with cancer.
