HudsonAlpha is closing out Breast Cancer Awareness Month in a big way, by beginning a new approach to cancer testing.

1400 people attended the institute’s sold-out “Tie the Ribbons” luncheon, which raised tens of thousands of dollars, but this was more than just a fundraising event.

“We should be able to figure a way to screen women at thirty-years-old for increased risks of breast and ovarian cancer,” says HudsonAlpha faculty investigator Dr. Kimberly Strong, who was keynote speaker for the Thursday event.
