Fall Biotech 101 kicks off

The fall session of Biotech 101 sponsored by ServisFirst Bank began last week. Over 200 people started on a journey of understanding their genetic makeup and how biotechnology impacts every living thing. Innovation/Application: EGEN

September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. Among U.S. women, ovarian cancer is the fifth leading cause of cancer-related deaths. Unfortunately, ovarian cancer is often detected when the cancer is already at an advanced stage. EGEN, a resident associate company at HudsonAlpha, is making great strides in developing a treatment for recurrent ovarian cancer.
