Fourth annual Tie the Ribbons a huge success

Thanks to generous sponsors, individual donors, sincere speakers and hundreds of attendees, the 2012 Tie the Ribbons luncheon was another great event.

Linda Green described her fight against stage three breast cancer in 2004, and the bilateral mastectomy, reconstructive surgery and chemotherapy that followed. In 2010, the cancer returned, leading to a second battle againt the disease.

Today, Kesler and Green are cancer free.

Randall Moreadith, M.D., Ph.D., is president and CEO of Serina Therapeutics, a HudsonAlpha resident associate company. As the keynote speaker, Moreadith explained the advancements Serina is making through the company's cutting-edge polymer drugs. He believes Serina's "lead program in oncology" will yield a host of new approaches to the treatment of cancers.

A tremendous round of applause to all of our speakers and gratitude to all who attended. We also offer our most sincere thanks to our generous sponsors for making this event — and research into both ovarian cancer and breast cancer — possible.
