Description:
We are developing new methods for targeted DNA sequencing that are applicable to our ongoing epigenetic studies of autoimmune diseases. These methods involve the capture of the MHC locus, a key region of the human genome where multiple immune-related genes reside. The internship will involve the optimization of our capture methods for this locus and the analysis of the MHC locus in patients with lupus.
Requirements:
Individuals with molecular laboratory experience or computational experience preferred.
