HudsonAlpha CSER patient Jessi Watts was honored by a Decatur elementary school.
Jessi is limited in her ability to talk, but her smile speaks volumes.
The 13-year-old Oak Park Middle student, who only occasionally says “Momma,” had one of her wishes fulfilled when she got a hot-air balloon ride with her parents Wednesday morning.
The family also learned Banks-Caddell Elementary, where her mother, Dana, teaches, raised more than $2,000 for Rett syndrome research. Jessi was diagnosed with Rett syndrome about two years ago.
