TechRich TechSummit at HudsonAlpha

Over three days in early August, HudsonAlpha hosted a tech summit during which 37 innovative companies were given access to Combatant Command  and Department of Defense officials. Companies learned of the respective agencies’ top technology needs and scouts learned about developing technologies of the local innovators. “Science advisors and ‘tech scouts’ from eight of the nine commands arrived in Huntsville with at least one small business contact, but they departed with contacts for over a dozen small business resource providers and a much deeper appreciation for our high tech ecosystem,” said Terry Griffin, TechRich project manager. The summit was a partnership between TechRich (Technology Regional Innovation Cluster Huntsville), a division of the Women’s Business Center of North Alabama; Huntsville Association of Small Businesses in Advanced Technology; and the Small Business Administration. The forum was designed to bring major business opportunities for small technology companies from all over the Tennessee Valley area.
